There’s a weight to this chapter, the kind that doesn’t settle on the shoulders but somewhere behind the ribs, where memory and sorrow like to nest. It’s beautiful, and it hurts in all the right places. Thank You!
Yes, he reads as an upright character, who cares for those around him, especially MJD, of course… avoiding spoilers (I hope!) I especially liked the scene with Lawrence and Mary, which I though you handled beautifully… AND… the introduction of the false name issue, which really surprised me. I am very much enjoying this and really looking forward to seeing where you take that second issue, too… Loving it!
This is so wonderfully detailed and immersive for a reader, the setting, the customs, and the characters. Charmingly written pieces of history recreated.

Beautifully done! Great ear for period dialogue, alongside a compelling story. Loving Chapter 9 as I knew I would 🤍🕯️
Thanks, uncle Phil:)))
Thank YOU ☺️
OMG Helena, you write as if the Gods inspired you, every word whispered I. The word and gathered forth to become the swan’s down.. soft and warm,
Each feather aligned to the stars above. Don’t stop your writing, let it dribble upon the pace.
I absolutely love Chapter 8! Brilliant and well worth the wait. Thank you 🙏🏼
Love this! Would so love to be able to write like you... beautifully done 👍🏼

I was a bit worried about that one. It got me by surprise too, no jokes.
First, or second?

Starting something with Keats is the best way to get my attention!
